CaseIT is an annual international undergraduate business case competition with a strong Management Information Systems (MIS) focus designed to find the best and brightest in strategic IT case analysis. It is a forum where students from various backgrounds of IT and business can showcase their skills in areas such as teamwork, problem solving, and critical thinking to a panel of industry professionals.

History of CaseIT
2004
Inception, under the directorship of Paul Cyr and Zephaniah Wong, CaseIT began as a competition between undergraduate teams within Simon Fraser University.
2006
In 2006, under the leadership of Andrew Kumar, CaseIT reached a national level through the inclusion of schools from all across Canada.
2008
Under the guidance of Rey Lim, CaseIT 2008 officially established itself as a global competition by bringing teams from four continents – North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
2014
CaseIT 2014 saw the addition of the Wildcard Round through Jillian-Joy Marlinga.
2015
CaseIT 2015, Gwendoline Wong changed the competition to an invitational format, increased the number of competing teams to 19, and introduced InTech, a parallel case competition exclusively for SFU students.

TECHNOLOGY SPONSOR
The case sponsor has the opportunity to have their company at the forefront of the competition case. A professionally written case for the sponsor will be given to all teams to deliberate and provide a recommendation within 24 hours. The case will focus on a leading edge contemporary issue revolving, ideally, around a recent or a current situation within the company.
The technology sponsor will be the main provider for all electronic equipment used at the competition on the day of. The worldwide success of the competition is in part thanks to the technology sponsor for the use of their leading edge equipment for presentations to communication.

SPONSORSHIP ARRANGEMENT
Logistics Sponsor will help facilitate the transport of all CaseIT 2017 participants to and from venues and other locations.
The CaseIT 2017 Organizing Committee is looking to form a partnership to promote the study of Management Information Systems. Our sponsorship team will discuss and create a personalized value that will best suit the needs of the sponsor.

(2) Signage at Welcome Dinner, Corporate Evening, and Awards Banquet provided if events have not been exclusively sponsored by a gold (or higher) sponsor.
